Data Protection

The International School of Luxembourg, a.s.b.l. needs to gather, process and store basic personal data on students, parents, staff, service providers, volunteers, candidates and interns so that the School can enrol and educate children as students at ISL.

Luxembourg has for some years had one of the strongest data protection regimes in the world and this is set to be further enhanced with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) which is effective from 25 May 2018. Below you will find the School’s Privacy Notice and Data Retention Policy to facilitate a greater understanding of why the School needs to gather process and store personal data, where the school needs to obtain explicit consent to do so for special categories of data such as health data, and how long it retains that data as now required by EU law.

Please carefully read these for more information on what we do with personal data, why we do it, how we protect them and how you can exercise your rights over your personal data.
