ISL Film Student Production Chosen for Local Competition
Posted 09/02/2017 15:22
Every year, the Luxembourg City Film Festival host a young film maker competition called Crème Fraîche. The challenge is for film makers aged 13–30 to produce a 60-second clip that incorporates prescribed criteria. This year, every submission had to include a whisk, a rocking horse and characters from two generations.
The ISL Film Classes have this built into the curriculum and this year, five student groups from two grade levels submitted clips. There were 51 submissions across the country and only 21 were chosen for the competition. We are thrilled that one of the ISL submissions has been chosen by the Crème Fraîche jury and we wish to acknowledge their achievement. Congratulations to Grade 10 Film Studies Group 3 for their film ‘Alarmed’. These students are Emilie Korva, Xin-ran Song, Eva Chen and Niki Georgopoulos.
The 21 chosen clips will be viewed on March 4 at a ceremony to be held in the Utopolis Cinema and only those present may vote. Admission is free but tickets must be reserved in advance. The ceremony begins at 16:30. (Click here for more information)
