"The Tiger's Bones" is a comedy play by poet Ted Hughes (1930-1998), former British Poet Laureate. It follows the well-meaning and passionate exploits of a group of scientists, led by The Master, who travel the globe while observing a massive comet about to strike earth. As they travel, they bring modern civilisation and industry to primitive tribes, not without unexpected consequences. In the final scene, an encounter between the Master, a wise Sage, and a tiger on the top of a mountain produces a memorable climax.
