When you have time to review the photos above from educational settings around the world taken by Steve McCurry, it reminds me of the vast world in which our children learn and play. Coming back from the recruitment fairs always makes me ponder and reaffirms the importance of what we do.

Thanks to David for being here for me and to you all. Have a great week!

I have managed to secure all the positions I was looking for at the Fairs and have a few interviews to do in April in Luxembourg for a couple of posts that are tentative. I hope you all will find that those coming into ISL next year are great additions to our staff and will provide the support, challenge and continuity through their creative and professional work. Once their contracts have been ratified after further references checks I will share some information about them with the grade levels and departments and with you all.

I read “Lean In” by Sheryl Sandberg whilst away and realize how amiss I have been in not advocating enough what I truly believe in some of my leadership meeting times. I will work to redress that over the months and years ahead. This is not a book to change the way we all work but it forces a pause, if nothing else. If you are reading something that you would like to share with everyone in the bulletin let me know and I’ll get it in.
