Thank you to those who came last week, Thursday 11 May, to observe and investigate diverse thinking at ISL. The teachers also made available classroom work for you to access through the QR Codes that you will see around the school. We will ensure that next year these QR Codes are available in the common areas in the Atrium and they will be updated periodically. We will provide feedback to you all on the work completed by parents at this workshop and share the handouts for everyone online.
The same evening, Thursday 11th May, Luxembourg celebrated Diversity Day at the Philharmonie in the presence of the Minister of the Family and Integration, Mme Corinne Cahen. ISL was awarded a special mention for “Good Practice” in the promotion of diverse thinking through our work in developing a Culture of Thinking in the Lower School.
Next week is a short week for students as we continue work in preparation for our 10-year Accreditation visit so this means that school, for students, will close at the end of the day, Tuesday 23rd May, returning Monday 29th May. Do enjoy your long weekend.
This weekend the Nature Team is on their annual overnight camp and I get the great privilege of going with them and cooking with/for them. As usual, the forecast is for rain. Despite this, I hope you all have a great week ahead with your children and thanks to those who responded with such positive comments on the plans for the start-up of next year.
