Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

This weekend is a busy weekend for all our Spring sports teams before their respective NECIS Tournaments. ISL Track and Field team travels to Antwerp on Friday to compete all day Saturday. Our tennis and girl’s soccer teams travel to Dusseldorf on Friday to play BIS, ISA and ISD. The softball teams host ISD and BIS on Friday and Saturday. Please come and support the Coed Softball teams at home or our travelling teams if you can.

Last weekend our Track and Field team gave some great performances in the home track meet against four visiting schools. You can see all individual results on the sports web page. Thank you for your support and to parents who volunteered to help officiate.

Representing and Supporting ISL in sports

ISL student athletes travel far and wide over the coming weeks and our students always represent ISL as great ambassadors. We have gained a fantastic reputation over the many years of NECIS competitions amongst our member schools of playing “fair and hard” during the games and tournaments. This is a gentle reminder to all our players and travelling families that expected behaviour is always one of support for the team and NECIS moral values, however tough decisions may be to take at the time. The “heat of the battle” can sometimes cloud our better judgment, whereas if we step back and reflect the outcome, it would be better for all. Enjoy the Sport.
