On Tuesday, 14th February, Grade 10 students treated a large audience to a special Valentine's Day gift - a reduced performance of Shakespeare's comedy, "Twelfth Night". The story follows the fortunes of Viola, a shipwrecked girl, who dresses as a boy to serve a lord she loves. Following a complex plot (involving mistaken identities, romantic love, master-servant reversals, and thwarted duels) was no easy task for the audience, especially in Elizabethan English, but the energy and pace of the students' performances left no one in doubt as to what was happening. It was a treat to watch this light-hearted comedy, and there is some hope that there will be another chance to catch it, in case you missed it the first time. Take a look at some pictures below.
