Dear Parents,

As you know we are now in the process of completing our Self Study for the CIS Accreditation process. Please find below the link to the CIS Accreditation Survey. We would greatly appreciate it if you would complete the survey as parents which will help identify our strengths and areas for improvement.

  • What is CIS: “CIS is a membership community working collaboratively to shape international education through professional services to schools, higher education institutions, and individuals. The CIS vision is to inspire the development of global citizens through high quality international education: connecting ideas, cultures and educators from every corner of the world.”

  • What is a CIS Accreditation: To determine the degree the school aligns with the CIS standards to focus on school improvement.

  • Why a survey: The process should seek out the opinions of all stakeholder groups: students, faculty members, support staff, Board Members/members of the Governing Body, parents and, where possible, alumni. CIS intends that the Self-Study should present an honest, broad view of the school, and that it should not represent the views of any minority group within the school. Lastly to encourage broad community participation and “ownership” of this school improvement.

  • Statements on Survey: The answer choices for each statement are as follows: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Agree, Strongly Agree, Don’t Know or Does Not Apply

To access the survey, please click here.

Please note that the Survey is available in several languages and to access them, please click on ‘Select another Language’ at the top of the first page.

The survey should take about 7-15 minutes to complete and the link will remain open until March 11.

Part of the work that we are doing within the Self Study process is to re-affirm our Mission and Guiding Statements. On the morning of March 22, I will be running a short workshop of volunteers to re-affirm our current Guiding Statements with a group of parents, staff, students and Board members. If you are interested in joining the group for the morning, please contact Michelle Unger at munger@islux.lu.

With best wishes for the weekend.
