Young scientists receive Diplomie Letzebuerg 2022

ISL's young scientists received their awards this past June at the annual “remise des prix” for Physics, Biology and Chemistry Olympiads.

It was a celebration of the various local and International competitions over the last few months. Twenty ISL students competed along with 260 Luxembourg students in the Biology Olympiad and Glen Partsch Gr12 was rewarded for finishing in 11th place. Sijie Ma received an honourable mention from the International Physics Olympiad at Lithuania IPho 2021. Recently Gr11 students Albert Sveen, Sophie Barberon and Jai Spencer competed in the 6th Physics Olympiad in Ljublana, Slovenia EuPho 2022 and were rewarded with books and vouchers from the sponsors. Jai Spencer finished on the podium, bronze medal in both the Physics and Chemistry Luxembourg Olympiads competing against 140 students in Physics and 165 in Chemistry. Jai went on to compete for Luxembourg virtually in July, at the International Physics Olympiad in Belarus IPho 2022, he came away with an honourable mention.
