Diversity Day at ISL

This year Diversity Day in Luxembourg celebrates its 10th anniversary of the signing of the Luxembourg Diversity Charter of which ISL is a signatory.

At ISL different activities were planned to celebrate and embrace our differences, promote an inclusive community, and think about how we can ensure ISL is a school where everyone feels valued, appreciated and engaged.

Upper School started with intros from ISL's Director and Upper School Principal, followed by a short video “A day in my life” from staff and students sharing their experiences and fears about their own diversity experiences during their lives.

Gust speakers included Marta, a Human Rights Lawyer from the Insight Project Luxembourg, who shared about the beauty of diversity and the necessity to stand up against discrimination. Her reminder to the students was “ YOU can Ignore OR you can SPEAK UP!!”

In addition, a second guest speaker Antonia Quinton, Coach in training, specialising in ADHD offered a session during lunch. This open door session was available to all staff and students to discover more about ADHD, its traits and manifestations in different behaviours.

In the Lower School students were discussing the topic diversity and what it means to them.
