The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Year Programme (PYP) is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3 up to 12. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 11 up to 16. ISL is currently a Candidate School* for the IB MYP. Students, through a flexible and academically rigorous programme, are able to engage with learning that allows them to explore and pursue their interests through making connections between their studies and the real world. The programme provides a bridge of continuity from the IB PYP and IB DP. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a two-year programme of studies that provides a balanced curriculum that provides an excellent platform for future success in higher education. The IB DP gives students a deep base of knowledge, enabling them to excel in traditional academic subjects. It provides students with the tools necessary to thrive intellectually, emotionally and socially. This qualification is recognised by many universities worldwide, and some offer advanced placement credits that acknowledge the academic level that students have achieved.
