Teaching & Learning in the Early Years
Starting with our youngest students, ISL is committed to fostering a love of Learning.
Our Early Years Programme is built around a strong core curriculum guided by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and inspired Reggio Emilia. The curriculum includes Mathematics, Literacy, Nature-Based Learning and Units of Inquiry.
Students also engage in variety of single subject classes, tailored by grade level in Foundations, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Early Years students enjoy visual arts in a bespoke Arts Atelier, Library which gives students the opportunity to read and checkout a wide variety of books, French and Physical Education.
Dedicated Student Support Services such as Learning Support, Counselling, English as an Additional Language (EAL), Occupational Therapy, and access to an Educational Psychologist, ensuring that both a child's learning and well-being are at the forefront of the ISL Early Years Curriculum.
