- Nice to know
Three days in, students must be commended for adjusting to their new learning environment. Their behaviour truly exemplifies the resilience of our students and as well as the support from their families to prepare their children for the day.
Teachers are implementing new practices and strategies to engage their students virtually. For example, Lower School French teacher, Nora Vermeulin, has created a series of videos exploring different destinations around the world and has some special guests such as Ashley Jordan, Grade 3 teacher. Virtual gym classes with Mrs. O’Connell is also a very popular class.
On Thursday, 14 May, the ISL newsletter will be published and sent directly to your email. If you have not received the myISL newsletter by Thursday evening, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Occasionally, according to an individual’s email setting, the myISLnewsletter may end up in your “junk” or “spam” box, so please take a look there just in case.
Our parent community continues to share such fabulous photographs of their children and how they are spending time at home. Look at this second-grade student who is the mirror image of his Roman lego figure. More than ever, the process of building communities and coming together to share ideas is more important than ever. When we share something with members of our community, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, it can help us make connections we never realized we could. Thank you to all the families who shared!
Have a restful evening.
