Where are you living now?
Wadsworth, Ohio, USA
What did you do after you left ISL? What did you study at University?
After ISL I went to Case Western Reserve University and got my Bachelors in the science of nursing.
What are you doing now?
I am working as an emergency room nurse for Cleveland Clinic
Do you think that your time at ISL helped you pursue this? If yes, how?
Yes, it definitely helped me! Especially my IB biology and chemistry classes which really got me into the sciences due to my amazing teacher (Shout out to Mr. Ertel)
What advantages has studying at ISL given you?
I would say the biggest advantage from attending ISL was it offered me a multicultural learning experience due to having so many students and teachers from all over the world. I also learned how to study and work hard.
Were you involved in any clubs/activities at ISL? What did you enjoy about them and what benefit do you think they have for students?
I was involved in sports while at ISL and played volleyball and basketball. I enjoyed playing sports, because I believe team sports help you to prepare to work as a team in the future, whatever career path you choose. I believe it also is a great de-stressor from all the classwork and studying you have during high school.
How did your time at ISL help shape you as a person?
I think ISL and living outside of the country I was born in, helped make me a more open-minded person. It really exposed me to different ideas and different points of view so as I got older I could form my own educated opinions.
What do you think is unique about ISL?
I think ISL is unique because of how many different cultures and nationalities we have in each class and how the school promotes everyone to learn about each other’s culture. This was most seen during the international luncheon which I always thought was a great event, because you really got to learn a lot about your fellow classmates, and not to mention, try some amazing food!
