A Very Warm Welcome to the International School of Luxembourg

Whether you are already part of our community or considering joining us, I hope this website gives you a real sense of who we are and what makes ISL such a special place for young people to learn and grow.

At ISL, our priority is to ensure that every student feels at home and experiences a true sense of belonging. Young people need to feel safe and supported in order to be themselves, explore ideas, take risks, make mistakes, and grow from them. Our mission - to ensure everyone in our community to be inspired,  resilient  and passionate for doing what matters, anywhere in the world - is rooted in the belief that everyone can make a difference and that each of us has a responsibility to do so. We are stronger together, and our community thrives on that strength.

As an International Baccalaureate school, we are deeply committed to the values and principles of the IB. We believe in academic excellence, international mindedness, inquiry, and reflection, ensuring that our students leave ISL as independent learners and compassionate global citizens.

Our diverse community of more than 65 nationalities creates a truly global learning environment. This cultural richness is one of our greatest strengths, offering students daily opportunities to learn from one another, develop intercultural understanding, and form friendships that last a lifetime. As both Director and an ISL parent whose children have been educated here, I have seen first-hand the profound impact this school has on young people. We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of teachers, administrators, support staff, and dedicated parents, all working together to provide the best possible experience for our students.

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At ISL, we are proud to offer an education that empowers students to flourish as learners and to grow into compassionate, engaged citizens of the world. I hope these pages give you a flavour of what we stand for and what makes ISL such a remarkable community.

Sincerely,

Iain Fish
