Armelle Duvieusart (Class of 2013) is currently studying a joint degree in International Relations at the University of Aberdeen. She writes, "As a continuation of my involvement in charity work that started at ISL, I am volunteering for the developmental organization Childreach International. Their main objectives revolve around empowering children to enable them to reach their full potential, focusing on children's rights, health and education in 6 countries (India, Bangladesh, Morocco, Tanzania, Nepal and the UK)."
As part of her commitment to support this organization, she is participating in one of their challenges, and has signed up to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this summer. Armelle and other volunteers will undertake this once-in-a-lifetime physical and mental experience in order to raise funds for Childreach's various projects. The projects they will visit (and support) during their trip are located in Moshi, Tanzania (the same area ISL's CAS trips visit).
