Welcome to Upper School

The Upper School is made up of two sections - the Middle School which includes grades six to eight and the High School which comprises grades nine to twelve. These sections are designed to meet the specific needs of young adolescents and then later on the needs of students preparing for university entry.

The Upper School operates a block schedule with four main classes each day. The school works on a seven day schedule, days A-G. This allows teachers to explore their subjects in greater depth and provides opportunities for students to learn through project and lab work, discussion and discovery.

The school follows an international curriculum, culminating with the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme in the final two years. Most students follow the full Diploma, however, it is also possible to take a programme of IB certificates. All students in grade 12 are eligible to receive an ISL High School Diploma, provided that they meet the school's graduation requirements.
