Welcome to Lower School

In the Lower School we are proud to educate a truly international body of over 450 students from many different nationalities and cultures. Our school is committed to academic excellence and to supporting each child in reaching their full potential; while engendering independent learners and caring international citizens. The Lower School fosters a very positive environment that shows itself in every aspect of our school, and in the wider ISL community. We are committed to effective teaching and learning for 3 to 11 year olds and the provision of wide-ranging opportunities and supportive relationships that allow every student to achieve his or her best.

We achieve commendable academic results while developing well-rounded, internationally minded and culturally sensitive young people. We recognise and nurture individual strengths, foster a will to succeed, while developing in each child an understanding of their role and responsibility within the school and their future role and responsibility as citizens of a global community.

The Lower School is divided into two sections. The Early Years Programme comprises the Pre-School and Kindergarten and serves children ages 3-5. The rest of the Lower School programme is delivered in Grades 1-5.
