Summer Recreation Kicks Off New School Year at ISL
Some 80 children ages 4-11, along with teachers and student helpers, took part in this year’s annual Summer Recreation Programme from 17-21 August, the week preceding the start of school. New students, returning students and even children not enrolled at the school joined together for a week of fun in the sun that included outdoor sports and games, arts and crafts, and computer technology. The week culminated on the last day with an ice cream treat for everyone!
The summer recreation week is a particularly good way for new students to make friends before the start of school. Many returning students also look forward to summer recreation so they can enjoy some summer fun with old friends and make new friends prior to the start of school.
