Our Campus - Building for the Future
ISL is one of five schools located on the Geesseknaeppchen Campus along with the City of Luxembourg’s Conservatoire de Musique.
Our school is constantly expanding and evolving to keep up with the demand for an ISL education. Our state of the art campus is comprised of the following present and future facilities:

The new Lower School building and accompanying refit of the current main building for exclusive Upper School use will provide state of the art learning facilities for all ISL students.
- The building has been designed to accommodate the instructional and learning needs of 660 three to eleven year olds, in today’s technology age. The building will support new technologies that will be integrated into the teaching spaces, as well as environmental influences of natural light, ventilation and sound. The building will comprise 37 purpose-built classrooms supplemented by language rooms, art studios, music rooms, a library, an auditorium, a large gymnasium and a cafeteria. Each grade level will have its own common space to be used by the students and teachers. Outdoor play and recess areas for students will also be provided.

Cafeteria Extension

The open terrace, currently accessible from both the Lower and Upper School cafeterias will be covered and enclosed in order to provide much needed capacity for the Upper School cafeteria. This will eliminate the need to provide eating spaces for students on the south side of the main foyer and in the lower level commons.
Roof Space Conversion

This project has converted the existing “attic” roof space that lies directly above the Upper School 2nd floor in the main building (not the extension) into a proper teacher workroom and meeting space.

ISL1 Extension
The ISL1 extension opened in August 2010 and was officially inaugurated on 26 November 2010. The five-storey, 15-room extension includes three state-of-the-art science laboratories, a fully equipped art studio, and a spacious drama studio. The new extension has significantly reduced pressure on tightly shared spaces in the Upper School.
