Family Hosts Needed for Student Teachers
Posted 29/03/2017 13:37
From the beginning of this school year, ISL has been working on building strategic partnerships with a few selected universities with strong international teacher training programmes.  One of the universities which ISL will now be officially collaborating with is University of Leiden, and their World Teacher Programme.  The HR Office is looking for a host family from our ISL Community to house this student.  The host family would be expected to provide a room, bed, bedclothes and towels, breakfast and dinner each day, access to laundry facilities and a ride to ISL each morning.  The student will be expected to pay EUR 90 per week to the host family to contribute toward the cost of room and board, and to take public transportation back to the home of their host family each evening.

The first student-teacher from the University of Leiden, Ms. Serwa Shodjaipoor, will be at ISL for three weeks this Spring (arrival 21 April – depart 12 May).  She is training to become a secondary school English teacher and will be coming to observe and work with several teachers in the Upper School English department.

If you think that you are able to host a student-teacher for those three weeks, please do contact me by 7 April 2017.

Many thanks,
